Naturally all authors powerscale… sure calculating it down to the nanojoules is largely fan-made but it’s only making the implicit explicit. Sometimes annoyingly so… but overall FOR FUNSIES….

pertinent as people blindly hate on power scaling as a child's mechanism not understanding that without it most stories would fail to suspend our disbelief and thus be far less able to draw us in.

Yep. Do find it funny how people are perfectly willing to accept a term like verisimilitude as being an important aspect of a story but choose not to understand when you say that a specific example of verisimilitude (i.e. powerscaling) may be important in a specific genre. Maybe it’s just because verisimilitude sounds fancier and powerscaling sounds low-brow.
